Hello,

I got a PCB for Maxtor drive: M4FYA, would it be compatible for: F8FYA

Thank you in advance.

Compatibility determines ROM version.
These figures do not guarantee.
But when the numbers are the same, the PCB is often the same version ROM.
Gives Passport version ROM the board without HDA.

What's the issue with the drive?

If it's totally dead then it could well be a bad PCB, no doubt we have one of the right ROM version if you need it?
