HOT SWAP ON SAMSUNG HDD

January 4th, 2014, 12:29

well, for hot swap to access SA, same spec hdd is required. Is it applicable to use SAME Series HDD when exact donor is not found?

Example:

Native HDD: HD082GJ, PCB: BF41-00163A

DONOR HDD: HD161HJ, PCB: BF41-00163A

BOTH HDD from same series, but different model and different in size.

So, is it possible to gain SA access by using this one as donor?
