WD2500BEKT password

Customer brought a Dell 3500 with HDD password protected that he bought a year ago. It was working fine until he took the battery out?? I am trying to figure out how to get through for the Windows 7 installation. Also, he did not put any password on HDD or in BIOS as he is computer illiterate. Any suggestions, thank you :)

I will tell him it would be much easier and cheaper to buy new HDD, thanks !!
