Seagate ST3250318AS clicks 11 times then spin down

Hello,

I have a Seagate ST3250318AS (FW HPG7). When I plug it to PC3000 and power on SATA, the drive clicks 11 times then spin down.

When I access the terminal, I get the output bellow:

When I click on CTRL+Z, I can access T>:

F3 T>


I suspect a firmware issue but I don't think it's a BSY or LBA0 issue.

Can anyone help with this issue please.

You can do also Ctrl-R (Online mode) to show some messages as it is running and NLINE), and Ctrl-A (when in DIAG mode) to show some drive info

There were a few google hits for that term msg.

did you attempt the BSY or LBA 0 fixes, as this is a 7200.12 and the 7200.11 tutorials should NOT be followed

Thank you for your help.

Ctrl-R and Ctrl-A didn't show anything.

I didn't try the BSY or LBA0 fixes yet but I'll keep searching for a solution for the 7200.12

Heads are bad 99% for sure.

Also the drive is giving me an error through a firmware tool i have never seen this before.
