I recently got a hard drive caddy to put in my external hard drive instead of the CD ROM. Everything went well, it fitted in, but the speed i am getting is incredibly slow. Even opening folders takes up to 30 seconds.
I have attached the bench-marking screenshot for that drive, please suggest what could be the issue and what should i try, i have already cleaned the connectors and the hard drive works great when connected with a usb 2.0 cable as an external.
This is the hd caddy that i got -

Hi, Have you:
a) upgraded the BIOS on the laptop
b) installed latest chipset drivers
c)installed latest rapid storage drivers or other storage drivers for you board/disk
d) searched on forums for the laptop/caddy/drive combination for others having the problem and possible solutions?
that would be my list of things to initially try.
Cheers
