LED000000CC Problem that solution can't fix

February 24th, 2014, 10:46

Hi Guys,

I have a Seagate ST3500820AS 7200.11 that have the Firmware problem LED0000CC that usually we can fix with the PC3K solutions.
But in this case i can't, i run the solution and make a short-circuit in control points in PCB write/read.
After that the drive can't became ready and run the solution, only show again the terminal log of LED000000CC FAddr:0024A51.
Have any one this problem already?

Thanks for your time :)

Did you inspect the drive internally (within a clean room) to ensure that the heads haven't crashed?

Yes the drive is ok, doesn't have heads damaged and headcrash.

In the short circuit can't make the PCB unblock the read/write channels so i made it isolating the motor connections. Drive can read the FW and have sectors access. :)
