PCB or TDS diode?

March 20th, 2014, 0:06

Sorry noob here. I have a drive that has stopped reading, when placed in an external dock or a usb to sata adapter with a sata power cord both devices that have status lights that just blink. I have not seen this happen on either of these devices before. Drive does not power on or make any noise, or spin or anything. Could it be the PCB or TDS diode?

Sorry noob here, I've worked in the computer repair field over 10 years and been a hobbyist previously but have never attempted either of these, most of the time i would refer customers of mine to send to a data recovery center, however this is my mother in law so attempting what I can :)
