Dropped hard drive making noise (sound clip)

April 29th, 2014, 15:03

Hi Guys.

A friend has dropped there laptop and smashed the screen. I got it to have a look but it sounds like more damage has been done internally, have attached a sound clip of the noise the hard drive is making once I took it out and put it into my dock (not reading through my own dock to my computer either)

Any suggestions on a fix? or is it kaput?

Either heads stuck to platter or mashed into the ramp.

Requires pro intervention, if data is required.

Suggest you contact forum member "buster80" who's in Glasgow.
