Seagate st2000dm001 strange noise

May 2nd, 2014, 13:00

Hi Everybody, i was searching the internet and this forum seems to be the best place to find some help :)
my st2000dm001 today decided to start making strange noises "ta ta tata, ta ta tata" and so on, then it simply dies. Windows doesnt see it and also seatools or other tools.
I tried to clean contacts, also on the pcb, but nothing changed.
Thank you to everybody with some suggestions to make it readable, also only for recovery data!

If data is important enough, then highly recommended. Otherwise, proceed with RMA or whatever else, donate it, etc.
