Dell branded Western Digital HDs on the resale market

I have seen some 1Tb Dell- branded Western Digital HDs come to market for auction on the usual place.

Are there any issues related to these Dell badged drives that the HDD Guru tools cannot remedy: wipe, Low level format and new OS install?

I haven't heard of people having trouble repurposing Dell branded HDDs in non-Dell machines. The only real problems with OEM HDDs that I can recall are in relation to PVR/DVR/STB use where the drive may be locked to the device.
