Questions about HDD raw copy tool

I have a 500gb HDD and want to move the entire content to a 4TB HDD
I used the HDD raw copy tool to create a image of the 500GB HDD into a external drive, then pasted the image onto my new 4TB drive
but now it seems like hdd raw copy tool created a hidden partition inside the 4 tb drive at Disk 1 and i cant seem to expand it, im pretty confused at this moment, any help?
and when i pulled the hdd out physically both disk 1 and disk 4 disappeared, seems like disk 4 is just a ghost drive, and the partition letter G, and the actual data are in Disk 1? but disk 1 has no name or anything... im confuced
