WD Passport Head not moving after few try (Video link)

Plz see above video. You can see when I plug my external WD Passport. Its head is moving(not fully I think) but after some try of data read it stops in a very strange way. Disc also stops rotating!

As I have shown on video, HDD is appearing on safety remove, but not showing up among drives on my computer.

I want to know what is wrong with the HDD :shock: :!:

Well here's what is wrong with the drive:

1) You have opened it in an unsafe environment, on a table amongst pills and rubber erasers. This alone can render the drive unrecoverable or too expensive to recover.

2) Your drive suffers from damaged heads, and that's why it clicks and spins down after a while. It needs clean room work from a Data Recovery professional with knowledge and the right equipment.

Does it need head replacement or it can be repaired ?

it may be recoverable only by a professional, no DIY!
