Hoping someone can give me some help or point me in the right direction.
I have a Samsung HD105Si 1TB hard drive that started giving me a problem. My Windows XP Pro was taking forever to boot and when it did all program were running slow. I copied all my data on a portable hard drive and attempted to reinstall XP. First the BIOS and Window would see the drive, but then BIOS could not detect it at all. I tried using ESTOOL and it too can’t detect the drive. When I power up the PC, I can hear the drive spin and a few soft clicking sounds. The clicking sounds stop but I can still hear the drive spinning, but the BIOS can still not detect it. Does this mean that the drive is finished and needs to be replaced or is there something I can try before giving up on this drive? Any advice or information will be appreciated.

Very likely your dirve has bad sectors and probably also weak heads or firmware issue.
I'm glad that you have copied all your data in time, but I'm pretty sure by now that hard drive can't be used anymore.
You can check surface of your bad drive in MHDD if in somehow you can make it detect again into the bios.
Due because is not detect anymore in the bios, i think that heads or firmware are damaged.

Try to use HDDRegenerator, it should get rid of bad sectors. Hopefully this is your problem of your drive, if not it has got more problems and it is time to spend some $$ on new hard drive.

HDD Regenerator might be OK, but only if you don't care about your data:

Try pcb from same hard drive. They don't have rom so should work if pcb failed.

in case of Bads secs you can use HDDregenerator as said here, if not no DIY way. Maybe FW Problems, Heads problems or media Problems.
