bitlocked drive with weak heads

September 9th, 2014, 16:46

Hello ,

i would like to take your professional opinion in ths case .

drive is WD10TPVT-00U4RT1

drive was dropped , and it's bitlocked :? .

doing a head map i figured that it has heads as following 0.1.2.3.4.5

head 2 and 4 have issues in the first 65000000 LBAs

other than that drive was imaged ( fully from 65000K till the end and partially from 0 till 65000K 'with H2 and 4 excluded')

when i connected the destination , windows showed bitlocker error ,

squeesing sectors out from the source drive caused the following

drive goes to DRD and DSC , but when trying to identify it stuck at BSY and no further actions can be taken ,

mostly every sector that can be read out of it , was read .

any ideas ? does it worth the time being spent on it ?

thanks
