How Critical are MLC and P/N on Hitachi Drives for Head Swap

Whenever I am sourcing Hitachi's, I can usually get close to the P/N and MLC but sometimes not quite exactly. So how critical are they for a head swap?

P/N more so than MLC, in my experience anyway.
