Seagate Grenade model ST1000DM003

October 13th, 2014, 9:29

Hello

I'm working with a Seagate Grenade model ST1000DM003.

Initial problem: head bad, hdd clicking

I find a compatible donor, and I did swap head...

When power on disk, it can read servo marks (doesn't clickin, has sounds how a new HDD), but doesn't read ID... stay Busy all the time.

On terminal, didn't send F3, nothing works/answer, Ctrl Z X L ... nothing...

I tried did the short, but I haven't success.

The HDD continue doing the read of servo marks.

The PCB is 100%, I tested in others disks.

You need to short at a different time.
