Seagate ST9250410AS 7200.4 FW PROBLEM

October 23rd, 2014, 3:47

Hi guys,

I have this drive ST9250410AS that have the heads damaged. I swap the heads for a new ones and when i connected in PC3K the drive starts knocking. I change the heads map in the ROM for 1,1 and have the same result. When i change to 0,0 he became ready and have access to the FW. When i start to save the loader it start to give errors and lost stability. I Turn on/off and the drive now doesn't became ready and can't read anything. I saw the donor heads in microscope and they are clean.. i saw the log in the terminal and i got this message:

Rst 0x10M
LED:000000CD FAddr:00260AB7
LED:000000CD FAddr:00260AB7
LED:000000CD FAddr:00260AB7

So i think the drive has generated a FW problem.
Does any one saw this before? and know how to fix it?
Thanks for your time.
