eagate pipeline HDD wont spin when connected to PC

i purchased used seagate pipeline 1TB HDD.i really don't know that time will work only on DVR.

i tried to connect it on PC it detect the HDD through SATA cable & shows its capacity but the media is not spin up & not able to initialized.

Is there any way to able to work this hdd on PC ?

I also try to disable the PUIS through HDAT2 but no luck bcz i connect hdd through USB ( if i connect it SATA my PC stuck on start-up & trying to detect the HDD.


Please Help !!

Maybe there is something wrong with the used drive. As far as I know there should be no reason for this drive to not work in windows. The DVR spec is because there are properties about the drive suitable for DVR application such as 24/7 operation and quieter operation.

In fact I found reference to a review of an older model of pipeline that was used on a Vista PC.This post alludes to compatibility with a Desktop PC:
