Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I have a USB drive here from a client, WD 2TB green inside, needs a cleanroom recovery most likely as it was dropped and it won't show up on my usual software-recovery system other than constantly timing out on the SATA bus.
Is Kroll Ontrack Data Recovery (
http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.com.au ) reputable? Can anyone make a suggestion for a reputal cleanroom recovery service in Australia?
Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul, contact TerraNova from the forum, I recently sent him (what I thought would be) a hard case, a dropped portable HDD, and he recovered it. I can give you contact details by PM if you like, he is in Perth
