BlackArmor Disvovery NAS 220 - Wont recognise in windows 8.1

January 13th, 2015, 18:43

Hi

I installed the software and when clicking the icon I it says that its unable to find the network...

Before I used to have the NAS 220 Ethernet cable connected to the router.

But now I'm not connected to the router... that's in another room connected to another PC being used by another user.

I read somewhere that I had to change the NAS 220 settings in the LAN to STATIC...
every time I enter stuff in there it redirects me to a page that wont load...

So then I started to search on how to set a static IP address on my PC...

And I'm going through a nitemare of problems...

Can someone please help guide me through the process from start to finish to get my nas 220 to be regonised... it used to have an IP address on it for a drive name, but now it doesnt show up any more, yet the device name shows up in the network.

I also have a unidentified network coming off my Ethernet connection that the NAS 220 is connected to.

Cheers for any help you can give... it's been a long 5 days trying to figure this out. :(

It doesn't seem that you need any data recovery services for this NAS.
Why not to contact the support regarding this issue? It's their work to answer questions like this.
