Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello Everyone.
I'm Back and need advise and best possible price for data recovery.
This hard drive is a notebook hard drive.
It spins up and you hear an abnormal humming in the spinning.
The the abnormal noise stops and computer attempts to detect drive.
However bios does not see the drive or recognize it either.
Then drive goes quiet and nothing.
Like always I am missing some data due to no backup / really old backup.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Steven

Hi Steven,
We can certainly recommend someone. Where are you located? I assume you'll want to deal within your country.

Not opposed to other counties if someone has a good rep.
I am in US.
It would be better but i am really really concerned about cost.
I am mainly after trying to get an image of the drive so i can get lic keys from it.
and i am really going for the least amount of money.
Thanks
Steven

The OP says the drive DOES spin up. If that is true then stiction is ruled out IMHO.

What is the actual model? It should be something more like "WD5000BB-75AJG00"
