do you i4,1,22?

m0 commands never harms to data of 528as. i use this command many time.

i advice to use the m0,6,3,,,,,22

i also advice that you wait the disk.

Sometimes because of logical bad sectors disk comes lately.

It's very sad to see someone playing around with a drive, while original goal is to get data back. :(

what you know about NRG-List ?
Seagate Factory do second test for defect's
and bad sector found added to another list very important as p-list
it is NRG-list
when factory work with translator they take in account (p-list + NRG-list )
but if you work with translator you will take in account P-list only
this mean you will have good sector till first NRG entry then your HDD will be fully ABRT

and first group for M command you write this will zero fill all your sector
so how can you extract your data back with zero fill sector ??????

spidit is right , be careful

Why did you use m0,2,2 on that 7200.12 drive ? That command is only safe to use on 7200.11 drives.
If your drive have non resident g list you might have caused more problems now.
In any case if data is important stop messing with the drive and send it to a data recovery firm.

Drive is having issues writting to SA/Translator and you will not be able to fix it just with a ttl adaptor.

Dear Friend Spildit.

I just tell my opinon. Error : RW subfile error 201F is easily resolved with ttl too if you know reseting or modifying specific sysfile wich are damaged.
then problem is resolved. and as per my knoledge m0,2,2,,,,,22 is not harmfull for data area and for the nglist issue is defrent things for the cure nglist related issue. if drive have nglist issue and we dont take care this issue and give any of the available traslator commands then drive going to partial issue definatly. actuly there is no any big defrance betweek translator commands for cure nglist. only need correct work method only for nglist issue no matter what translator command we use. i can resolved any nglist related issue with any of translator commands without stuck in to the nglist issue.
many engineers here they dont use m0,2,2,,,,,22 and stuck in to the partial issue right.

You are right about other 7200.12 etc. st31000524as, st500dm002
but this is st31000528as.
m command doesn't destroys the data.

Many 528as's data was saved. app.25

Advice -

1 - Get some 7200.12 drives and up, with data that you don't care about.

2 - Issue the m0,2,2 command as you describe.

3 - Attempt to clone the drive.

4 - See what happend.

5 - Come back and post here if you still advice people with 7200.12 drives and later to use that command.

Dear Friend Spildit.

I Think You Dont Read Correctly or u dont understand what i say correctly.
I clearly say that Partial sector accesibility issue is Not Related to m0,2,2 translator. i mean partial issue not related to any specific translator command.
you can check it urself give the any translator commands except m0,2,2 on ur nglist issue drive and put it on imaging you understand. you also stuck in to the partial issue.
i say partial issue need to handle defrantly if you apply any of the transaltor command u stuck in to the partial issue if you dont correctlty fix it first.
