WD1600BEVS unstuck spindle. Now clicking.

Hi,

I would appreciate your opinion about this case.

WD1600BEVS (160 Gb, 2,5'' hard drive)

- Had the spindle (slightly) jammed over the platters, with the typical bitonal siren
- Spindle could easily be unstuck and moved to the comb.
- Motor now spins
- Spindle makes 3 fast and sharp "click of death",
repeated about 5 times, then drive stop spinning
- In WDR Demo, status bullets lightens red or green (excepted the BSY one).
(I can tell which bullets are green and which ones are red if required.)
- The error register bullets lightens all to red.

I assume damaged head(s) is the most likely, but maybe could the problem come from something else (preamp, ...).

Thanks.
