Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello people.
I need to convert this to SATA to attach it to MRT for imaging, i dont have the compatible SATA board at the moment. The drive is copying data at a really slow speed through USB with random bads (read the data in Raw). Anyone who has converted this specific board to SATA successfully, please guide me here
another thing, does the USB-SATA converter by Salvation works with PC3k/MRT or not?
Thank you.

why there is this security verification problem when there is no smartware password locked to the drive. I have extracted few data from the drive by Rstudio creating random regions and extracting specific files and the files were copied correctly. Isnt it that i just convert the board to SATA and power from the USB and image the drive.
and what if i want to get power from the MRT card itself, not from the USB, where should the pins be connected for that on this pcb?

If R-studio can access the drive. there are very good chances to apply the slow fix without changing anything.
are you absolutely sure that all heads are ok ?
we use a very simple method to do that. I can assist if you are willing.
send TV details.

Yes Rstudio can access the drive and i have copied few files too. but bad sectors keep coming. thats why i need to connect it to SATA and clone it with the hardware. i hope i am in the good direction.
and i guess heads might be weak, that is causing the bad blocks in Rstudio.
whats TV details?
