Hello raven!
Power your hdd with shorting read channels.

You will see something like this:
(DOS) Table Read FAIL
DOS: MAGIC CONFIG NUMBER MISMATCH
(DOS) Table Read FAIL
No HOST FIS-ReadyStatusFlags 2002A185

Then here push ctrl+z

Test heads on level 7 with command X

To stop InitiateMarkPendingReallocateRequest on F3 :

F00A2,00,22
F01E4,00,22
F057C,043C,22

These are used to disable auto relocation
....then clear smart on level 1 with N1 command.

Good luck!

yes clearing the smart is possible, as the NRG list has no records ..

Greetings again ,

well , confirmed , not a rom issue , but rather than smart list full because of many bad sectors ( and areas ) , clearing the smart did make the HDD detect , but now when imaging am facing huge issues , from 1% till 70% HDD images fine with really dead areas ( cant read a thing ) almost 100,000 - 150,000 LBAs sized , from 70%+ HDD not reading a single sector ....

NRG list was empty of any records before clearing SMART ...

do you think it's related to dead areas of the platters them selfs ?
