I am brand new to this forum. I have read lots of threads that are probably similar(or the same) as the issue I am having.
I'm hoping fzabkar or Alexii pick up this thread and are able to respond. If others know the exact reason for the problem and have a solution, please jump in.
The issue with my HD is when I plug it into an external HD dock and power it on, windows makes the new hardware detection sound, the hard drive spins, followed by light clicking, hard drive slows down and immediately tries to speed up again, the clicking is heard again at this time. Finally, the hard drive completely stops spinning and stops.
I am praying that its a calibration issue which can be resolved by PCB replacement, but I need someone to listen to this audio and offer advice before I go ahead and do that. Do you think its calibration, or is it a disk head issue?
Appreciate any help I can help before I fork out $$$ for professional data recovery.
Thanks,
Mohsin
