Is an external 2,5 USB portable drive with a keyboard.
Inside have a Fujitsu 160GB.

Hard Disk seem to work fine but is crypted.

When I connect USB the light is red until I digit the password on keypad, so light become green but my PC still dont detect it ....like nothing connected.

Someone can give me some suggestion?

Thanks

I had one of those, and was unable to recover it.

There's a thread on here somewhere, where I found the key sector but it was erased on my patient drive :-(

I worry that decryption key is saved on the board so just swap it pretty sure can't solve the problem.
Anyway this is an old stuff (2009) and seem not so easy to find one.
Thanks

@Alkemist, if you can upload a detailed photo or scan of the PCB, I might be able to help you determine whether the USB interface is working.

Check the drive first, maybe it's broken.
If drive is ok then buy another enclosure like that, solder original PIC controller and flash on it and it should work fine

Tnx anybody for help.

Hi Guys,

I am sorry to reply to this post without actually helping the situation. But, I have this same hard drive(1TB),and has been having issues accessing it.I seriously need help as well.

The last time (1 week ago)I used the hard drive successfully following the appropriate steps. I plugged it 2 days ago to my computer to use it, now the LED instead of displaying a solid and stable red which indicates that the drive is ready to accept passwords,is now blinking continuous red non-stop.The blinking never stops as long as the drive is connected to the computer.

I will really appreciate assistance from anyone who knows what that continuous non-stop LED blinking is indicating,as I have important documents on it.

Thanks as I look forward to your kind assistance.

Hans
