Hello, I've been searching on the net a solution for this problem that I have and I found this awesome community.
So here it goes, I received this 320GB HDD as a donation to use it in a external box wired to usb port for watching movies. The drive worked well and get recognized by the TV and PC, sadly I wanted to test it for bad sectors and started this read only surface test by HD Sentinel, which is not data destructive. Somewhere on the middle of the test it showed up one bed sector and I stopped the test, and started a write and read data destructive test which was supposed to fix the drive. This test turn out to take aprox 27 hours, after 16 hours of work somehow the usb cable that connected the external hdd box to the PC get disconnected and after that I can not use the drive. Now, I'm a total noob when comes to this things, but I explained what happened. I would appreciate if someone would be kind enough to help me fix this drive. Thanks very much in advance!
