The drive not even spin up because of big scratch in the inner diameter ( close to the motor )

Is that possible to recover ?

i would say yes, atleast partial data can be recovered if only top platter has scratch.

can you post some pictures ?

I have reasonable success with platter scratched WD drives, including this model.

Of course, it wouldn't be full recovery. :D

Here's the situation :
I can't confirm that the scratches only on the top side.
But I believe that the scratches prevent the heads to move from it's ramp.

( Tested with another donor PCB spin up but heads not move )

what kind of data customer is looking ?
should be expensive recovery.

outsource it. :idea:

we also have success on WD with scratch.
my vote is for pcimage
