I have Western Digital S.M.A.R.T status bad 500gb ..

is there any way to make this work?

Can you tell more details? What's in the S.M.A.R.T. data? Does it have too many bad sectors?
You can try HD Sentinel to get a more thorough analysis. Its trial version is available for Windows and Linux.
Additionally, under Linux, you can get the S.M.A.R.T. data with „smartctl -a /dev/sdX”.
