MDADM Linux Guru Needed

Is there anyone here who's a real guru at using mdadm to read metadata from RAID members? I'm trying to figure out if this Dell PERC array had a hotspare which might be throwing off all my efforts. I notice this line in the readout:

Code:
Raid Devices[0]: (--@0K 0@0K 1@0K 2@0K 3@0K 4@0K)

Does the "--" indicate an unused hotspare? You can see the full readout on this post: https://www.data-medics.com/forum/inter ... t1069.html

I'm still trying to make sense of it all.

Seems to definitely be RAID 5, 64Kb stripe size, /dev/sdh seems to have gone offline first, drive order is pretty easy to determine as some are obvious. But, something still isn't adding up here.

Just a regular config dump. After a quick glance it's possible to tell that array is degraded.
I would focus on examining the drives' contents instead.
