Hello All
I have a black labelled Barracuda ST3000DM001 SSHD that I am having issues with. Not sure of the significance of the black lable, but using PC3000 it gets ready then goes to busy. Has anyone had any experience with these new SSHD drives?
Thanks in advance

I'm not aware of an ST3000DM001 that is an SSHD, but can confirm that the black label is from Apple. What kind of data recovery equipment do you have available? I suspect that your best bet is to send it into Sean at pcimage.co.uk for an assessment.

That is a good point...likely why he thinks it is an SSHD.
Be sure to verify if the system also has an SSD inside the system. If so, you will need both the SSD and the HDD in order to do a full file system recovery.
I keep getting the HDD from resellers who don't provide the SSD, as they have already replaced the HDD and restored the OS.
