Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello everyone.
I recently bought Toshiba External HDD. I wanted to put it in my laptop, but when I opened it, I saw that it has USB connector, not SATA.
Is there any way that I can turn this HDD to SATA, maybe replace the PCB ?.
Thank you in advance.

It's possible, but the cost of a SATA PCB and having the USB converted to SATA (it will require a ROM transfer) would make it financially unviable.

OK. So I cannot just transfer the PCB from some other HDD. I read somewhere about that, and didn't know that it's so complicated.
Thank you for your help.
