Drives specified as wiped-- does this ruin the track table

November 29th, 2015, 15:37

Only recently I read that low level formatting or 'wiping' as I've shown above can ruin the drives bad track table.

Is this wrong?

How does the program for low level format at HDD Guru protect needed
manufacturer info?

To be fair I have used HDD Low Level formatter to revive old HDD's.
But if a reseller says the drive is wiped, what should he tell me, the buyer?

Well then not everybody is right all the time. This explains why I have had good success with HDD lo Level. I do wonder what others have scrubbed with however and am asking the seller for a reply.

Thanks. I have seen these other links and read through them though lately I have not used MHDD actively.

Yes, I have put in an inquiry before purchase. That will tell the tale.
