WD2500JS Hawk

This drive has lost the ROM (client removed it with pliers). We have a donor board attached and can load the drive into PC3K utility. The drive will not ID (factory alias) but will read all modules. Modules for a ROM rebuild are not available. I have tried several ROM's but cannot get any further. I have tried loaders (inc from the drive itself) but cannot get the drive to ID. Any advice would be appreciated.

Keep searching for more ROM codes to try. Did you look in my firmware database?

I haven't got to the DB yet. I had about 20 ROM images to try and I have been churning through those first :-)

What's the FW version? Check module 11's header info, also 1F, 2F, etc.
