Toshiba MD04ACA400

Anyone have any troubleshooting experience with this model.

Drive spins up and continues to spin. No ID. Access to CP only. No ATA status lights either.

PM friendly.

I'm under the impression that this 3.5 drive might be really Toshiba.

ISTR that data-medics mentioned that it was a Toshiba, not a Hitachi. The PCB has 4 serial flash memories (IC9 - IC12), so there appears to be something different about its architecture.
