WD HDD wont spin

February 3rd, 2016, 12:52

Hi,

Recently I experienced temporary disconnections of my WD HDD (I use SSD to run my OS), and after a while it came back online.
two days ago my HDD went offline completly, so I tried to update my BIOS which still didn't help.

I also tried to replace both the power feed of the HDD and the SATA cable - both didn't come out too handy, the HDD just won't spin :(

Does anyone has any experience how I might restore the data on the HDD?
Is it possible to replace the controller just to get it working again as the problem seem to be with the electronic parts/power feed.

Thanks in advance

Need more information. Like model and is it really doesn't spin? May be it spines and you just do not hear it?

Or heads stuck on the letters, or motor is seized
