Need help

Hello Folks,

i've got patient drive thet seagate has got translator issue. Case solved and cloned %100. Everything was great.

nope :? it was not great. Cloned all sectors who wrote to the new hdd and plugged into the notebook. opsss :shock: operating system not booting. i can access all data but we can not re-format(reinstall windows) the notebook. ( work special software and customer cant reinstall again)

can i fix this issue. any advice?

Thank you all

Probably software which has been used for clonning changed MBR for own purposes (not to give OS access to the Clone during process)
Check MBR and return to the working condition.

Probably software which has been used for clonning changed MBR for own purposes (not to give OS access to the Clone during process)
Check MBR and return to the working condition.

Specially the Last Two Byte of this Sector should be on your extreme interest

Thats only DataExtractor chages it from AA to BB , the rest software doing different way.

I do not do this by any tool .I just flip them myself .Never tried with DE :D

Thank you for all replies.

Case solves as twive :D Yes MBR has got problem. i think before translater issue.

i want to share steps for this case. fixed MBR (rebuilded as 3th part software), i did "chkdsk" and repair windows with original cd.
