SelfScan SA - WDMarvel23

February 23rd, 2016, 12:24

Let me know how to run selfscan SA of WD10JMVW-11AJGS2 using WDMarvel23 or WDR 5.3 or WDR 6.0 ?

There are unreadable bad sectors in SA while reading modules by Sector mode.

By ID mode many modules can't read

Available backup modules and rom attached

Let me know important modules to written back for data access

basically 31 36 03 and 40, 41 ... -4D are unique for the HDD,
others can be taken from the same FW, or same model or can be restored from the HDD it self.
there are also modules not needed for accessing user data.

BTW is it the same drive you're busy with for over 2 month ?

sorry I'm not familiar with those software
but I really don't get it, ISTM (AFAICS unless I missed) that the MODs who needed to access user data are intact and good, so what MODs have you spotted as unreadable ?

hdd not detected

many modules including 11 etc not readable by id

sector - copy 0 : no modules readable since there are lot of bad sectors in SA
Sector - copy 1 : some modules readable but 11 is not readable since there are lot of bad sectors in SA

I don't know what you are talking about
in the "Modules.rar" file you have attached mod 11 looks just fine, CS is ok
have you tried a LDR ?
what about SHS ?
