Need Help : My COMPAQ laptop's Seagate 320GB showing 0 MB

February 25th, 2016, 21:31

My Seagate HP 320GB ST9320320AS showing 0 MB suddenly.

Can any one suggest me way to write the bios with the help of SEAGATE RS232 cable?

Suggest the software to use , Steps and right bios file for the Seagate 320GB ST9320320AS FW0005HPM1.

Lenovo has bootable cd for rectifying corruption of bios file but HP do not have any such easy way.

Writing the "BIOS" -probably you mean Firmware- will not help you. You would cause more damage even if you would do so. If there is data in the drive that you need sent it to a data recovery firm (not a computer shop) for proper diagnosis. If for any reason you insist in trying it out yourself, you could try Diagnostics For Seagate, it might solve your problem.

You're wasting your time, no such thing as a replacement "BIOS" file for this drive.

5400.6 rarely have "BIOS" and/or PCB issue. Heads, translator, bad sectors are the norm problems. And of course, frequently, media damage.
