Data recovery companie and privacy

All data recovery companies erases the recovered files after deliver to customers?

My HD has a problem and I need to send to data recovery company, but which guarantees I have that after they recovered my files, they won't clone my hard drive or copy some my files? And see my pirated softwares, passwords, photos and data that I steel hacking another people using hacker tools?

Well such evidence could be used against me? Or doing this, they were without compromising too? There's a confidentiality and privacy according to my data, no matter what they are? Since they used that against me, they would also be invading my privacy.

Confidentiality is essential, and no professional data recovery firm would compromise it.

However, if we discover child pornography, we notify law enforcement. No exceptions.

There's no child pornography as images and/or videos, there's some images but of naked women over 18+. (Magazines and etc)

And they will look at each folder and file that I have? Including my personal photos? This would not be an invasion of privacy from them? Or read my texts, stored passwords and intimate things that I wrote?

The term nymphet or teen also can not be used to girls +18?

I can't speak for others, but we have no time or interest in seeing what people keep on their hard drives, other than to check for file integrity of the recovered data. We do not do forensics work, which is concerned with content.

I imagine that most pro recovery firms operate the same. If you use a reputable firm, you should have no problems OR concerns.

That would be a full time job, don't you think?
Time is money and DR companies would not get more money by going trough every single folder and file.
Random file testing however is a routine.
Having porn on a hard drive I would say is boringly usual for a male, not having it would be a bit off from statistics point of view.

My big problem is that:

I have a HD SATA Seagate 3.5" 1.5 TB that is only recognized in the BIOS. I have the hard drive does 7 years old and a few months now, the Windows gave error messages of E/S erro and I couldn't open the partition, so I had to turn off/on the computer to open the hard drive normally.

But on the last week the disk was gone, I turned off/on the computer, changed the power and data cables, changed the power supply and the hard drive not appeared.

So i do some tests:

- Windows don't recognize the HD (Windows 7);
- Linux don't recognize the HD (Ubuntu 14.10);
- Run a Live CD don't recognize the HD (Windows Mini XP and Ubuntu 12.04);
- Data Recovery tools don't recognize the HD (Recuva, HDD Regenetor);
- Run SeaTools and HDTA2 from Hiren's Boot CD can recognize the HD.
- I I put the HD in another computer as a slave in the BIOS recognizes, but the Windows freezes at login screen. (On my PC the Windows run normally.)

And always that I'll turn off the computer the hard drive make crackling noise. (Only when I shutdown the PC)

I enable the SMART feature on BIOS and the status is Bad.

SeaTools Quick test log:

- It found a lot of bad sectors;
- The status is failed;

You can ask for that but then you would have to assume full responsibility if storage media with recovered data gets lost or damage during shipping.
Usually data is kept for a short period of time to ensure safe delivery to a client and then erased. Keeping it for prolonged period of time would be against security procedures that many DR companies follow and frankly it would be against common sense - that temporary storage media could be reused for other cases.

Crack noise sound is a head HD problem?

I'll take my HD for DR companie on my citt, but 'ill go by bus and I'ill take in my hand (it'll is protected inside an antistatic plastic and wrapped in bubble paper), It can damage something?

I think that if I take the HD inside a box, this is would be worse or when it comes by car or plane (It must balance much more) and these transport don't damage the HD.
