hard drive is works as external but is not visible in raid10

hi gurus.
sorry if i post it in wrong place. i am completly newbie in both this site and in hard drives.
here is my problem:

there is a computer case with 6 hard drives in it(each is 500gb) and i they are connected by raid 10 so they have 1.5gb volume. the thing is one of the hard drive got orange colour, (as i know it means that data was no longer avaliable on it) so i replaced it with new one and it got blue colour after a while(probably transferred data and works now).

so i wanted to know what damaged my hard drive, i connected it to another computer as external drive, but it was not visible. then i "wiped disk" with EaseUS Partition Master (10.8), created new partition and i was able to perfectly detect and use it as external hard drive. i formated it as ntfs. so i thought i fixed the hard drive, but when i put it back in my raid 10 storage it doesn't work, still gives orange light so what can i do? can it be cause i formated it as ntfs? should i format it as another? please help...

Check SMART values on it with something like CrystalDiskInfo, HDDScan, etc.
