I've already tried. make the two short points at same time ? After or before power on ? I have 4 drives with same problem. I read in segate forum that st2000, st3000 and st4000 series manufactured after 2012 with firmware CC4x and CC2x need update to CC49 and CC29.

without Backup Original Plist
don't think to update your HDD
and yellow point is right for read channel
try it many times
or try other pcb
when you are lucky to Save Plist
then it's safe to update your HDD or do what you need there
