Hi there,
i have, a wd20eurs-63s48y0 2TB drive which is showing 0.0gb in bios. it is a wd network drive which suddenly stop detecting in the network.so i pulled the drive from its case & clean the logic board contacts but now in bios it detects 0.0gb (direct in sata port)in starting heads make 2 or 3 strange noise but after that no heads noise just normal spining. i got the donor logic board & replace rom chip but no effect same 0.0gb.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Seems like firmware is not read due to mechanical failure. Need powerful tools to run advanced tests.

are you sure that drive does not spin down ?
we can assist you if you are looking for data recovery from this drive, as mentioned in case of mechanical failure there is not much you can do at your own.

My money is on it "ticking/clicking" a few times and then spinning down, in which case it's heads failure and not DIY.
The more you mess with it, the more damage you are potentially causing.
