Apple SSD

August 29th, 2016, 9:38

Hi gurus, i'm struggling on how to do a readable dd from an apple ssd encrypted.

In fact i have a macbook in fully working order with some deleted files that i want to recover from it.
If i boot the machine with a bootwel drive this is able to see the internal ssd but without any partition, also after a data carving nothing is found.

So the only way to access the data is from a booted system (any other idea?), At this point i could scan the partition from the macbook's os, or if is possible also to do a dump of the drive from a booted system; this way to clone the sectors without encryption if is possible.

any ideas?

Thanks to any help!
