Hello guys!
I have a disk with quite a few importnant data. Device does not spin, it is not visible in Windows nor under low level tools (bootable).
Where should I start research? Repleacing PCB will be a good start?

A PCB plus firmware transfer shouldn't cost more than US$50.
Is it possible that you are facing a Power Up In Standby (PUIS) issue?

Well, in EU the things line that is known as Data Recovery Process, and it cost at least 1500 Euro

I have a little computer repair point, so my client need to recover that data for a fraction of that money.
So you say that I should try with PCB replace at first?

If the drive isn't spinning up at all, then yes, good chance a new PCB with a ROM swap will work. Are you sure it's not making any noises when you power it up?
At the end of the day if you want to make sure things are done properly then have it done by a proper data recovery company. 1500 euros sounds excessive, we would charge the equivalent of 250 euros for that job, but then again South Africa isn't exactly close by.
