Seagate ST5000M000 "Diagnostic Port Locked"

September 29th, 2016, 8:44

I have a Seagate 5TB drive that needs to have drive ID items unchecked in PC3000. On shorting read channels and arriving at T> prompt I get Diagnostic Port Locked error. Is there any way to get around this?

Are you running a current version of PC3K?

Current version doesn't support unlock 5tb drives.

Yes Luke. Current version. So PC3K can't fix this. Can anyone?

Your best bets are "Doomer" and "Pepe" on this forum.
