Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hey guys,
I have a REALLY old hard drive I am trying to find a donor for. However, the donor match guide from Donor Drives does even cover this one.
This is the DCM:
DVABEQSBWACB
What part of the DCM do I have to match to find a donor drive?
Many thanks in advance,
Omega

Given the rarity and how cheap it is, can try whatever you can get your hands on. Don't think compatibility for such an old drive is a big factor.

Do you know what part of the DCM to look out for?

DCM increases the probability of some, but does not guarantee anything.
Do not pay attention to him.

Personally, I would go as close a date of manufacture as possible.

Hm... I well I have a match that is as close I can possibly find. I found out the PCB is also bad... e-e. The drive no longer clicks but I have no access. Guess head swap time.
