Can I recover data from a HDD raw copy image from a bad disk

November 13th, 2016, 21:11

Can I recover data from an image file produced from HDD Raw Copy on a damaged disk? If it's okay, how do I do that? I wasn't able to find any tools to do so by searching the internet. I don't want to do anything on the damaged disk now since I want to avoid accidentally writing into the disk. I know I can restore the disk with the image, but I think it's still a little risky. Can any one help?

Is the image compressed? If not, then try DMDE or even 7-Zip.

Most of all data recovery programs can work with disk images.
