Problem with a Seagate ST1000DM003

November 14th, 2016, 17:36

Hello, sorry for my english.

I have a hdd Seagate with the following properties

Model:ST1000DM003
PN:1CH162-302
FW:CC46

It was working fine, but one day, not work anymore, windows or setup pc not recognise the hdd.

I change the card with another identical and windows recognise the hdd but with only 8gb, and cant not format or use any tools(Victoria, hdd recover etc) .

I try update the firmware with the tools of Seagate but i get errors

Is there any way to update the firmware, or some way to recover the hdd.

Thanks

Hello,
it is essential to properly diagnose the problem instead of shooting in the dark. Firmware is a complex thing and one must find out what's wrong before taking measures to correct it.

Post terminal log at least.

or ask Spildit, he will be glad to help.
